Partners & other family members
We are highly experienced at applications to bring family members to the UK. We understand that the separation of a family can be an extremely difficult time.
We can advise on the broad range of immigration options for families of British citizens to come to live in the UK to make the process as stress-free and efficient as possible.
The immigration rules for family members of British citizens were amended in July 2012 and, since then, the requirements have become much more rigid and complex. We offer bespoke advice looking at all of the available options, to ensure that our client’s needs are fully met.
We can also advise on the UK immigration consequences of inter-country adoption and surrogacy, working alongside the family team to offer a comprehensive and seamless service.
We also represent clients in appeals and Judicial Review applications. The complexity of the UK immigration rules has been noted in recent Court of Appeal cases. Our Citizenship & Immigration department is headed by Kathryn Bradbury who has an established track record of successful appeals to the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) and Upper Tribunal. We offer practical and realistic advice on the best options available to avoid lengthy litigation. However, we are not afraid to challenge the lawfulness of immigration decisions if that presents the best option available to our clients.
