Payne Hicks Beach LLP, trading as Payne Hicks Beach (“the Firm”), is a limited liability partnership incorporated in England and Wales with registered number OC430964. Its registered office is at 10 New Square, Lincoln’s Inn, London WC2A 3QG.
We use the term ‘partner’ to refer to a member of Payne Hicks Beach LLP or an employee or consultant with equivalent standing and qualifications. All members of Payne Hicks Beach LLP are solicitors, barristers or registered foreign lawyers. A list of the members, together with those non-members who are designated as partners, can be inspected at the above address.
The Firm is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (“SRA”). It is bound by and subject to the SRA’s rules, including the SRA Standards and Regulations, which are available at www.sra.org.uk. The Firm’s SRA number is 807106.
The Firm is registered for VAT purposes with VAT registration number GB 232 6673 64.
Financial Services
In certain circumstances, we are able to offer a limited range of investment services to clients where they are an incidental part of the professional services that we have been engaged to provide. Such investment services may relate to insurance contracts. Under the rules governing insurance distribution, we are regarded as an ancillary insurance intermediary.
We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. However, we are included on the register maintained by the Financial Conduct Authority so that we can carry on insurance distribution activity, which is broadly the advising on, selling and administration of insurance contracts. This part of our business, including arrangements for complaints or redress if something goes wrong, is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Please note that we are not obliged to utilise the ODR platform to resolve disputes and our preferred arrangement is for a client to follow our complaints procedure with a reference to the Legal Ombudsman if we cannot resolve the complaint. Indemnity Insurance
Details of our compulsory professional indemnity insurance are as follows. Our insurer is Aviva Insurance UK Limited of St Helen’s 1 Undershaft, London, EC3P 3DQ, Policy Number P1A10354. The territorial coverage will extend to acts or omissions arising out of the Firm’s professional business, wherever they occur.
Use of website
When you visit our website the server of our website host will record your IP address together with the date, time and duration of your visit. An IP address is an assigned number which allows your computer to communicate over the Internet. It does not identify you as an individual. We may use this information to compile statistical data on the use of our website.
