On 27 February 2023, a judgement provided valuable precedent for the victims of so-called ‘revenge porn’.
The court found a defendant liable for £97,000 in damages after posting covertly taken naked images of his former partner to a pornographic website. It is understood that this case is the first of its kind to be heard before the civil courts of England and Wales.
