The case will come before the Supreme Court to consider the question of whether the Court should have granted the wife permission to bring her case in England following a divorce in Russia. The wife received an award in Russian proceedings brought between 2014 and 2018 but has subsequently made an application under Part III of the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984 for financial provision following an overseas divorce.
