The Bar Council features Payne Hicks Beach Immigration Experts guest blog – Nationality and Borders Bill

Our article, ‘The Nationality and Borders Bill – a breach of international law?, written by our Immigration experts Matt Ingham and Richard Milford, was featured in The Bar Council of England and Wales’ guest blog spot. The piece highlights their agreement with the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency that the Bill, which has just passed its Second Reading in Parliament, is ‘fundamentally at odds’ with the UK’s international obligations. The piece continues to highlight four major flaws in the proposed legislation they warn that if enacted the consequence could be extensive litigation in the courts.
